This and that

A post a day for the entire month of March is the challenge I am giving myself. Well, let’s make it 32 posts in 32 days as this is Feb. 28.

Happy with a couple results at the Oscars last night — Natalie Portman winning best female actress in a leading role in “Black Swan,” Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross winning for best original score for their work on “The Social Network” and Christian Bale winning best supporting actor for “The Fighter.”

I can’t get “A Familiar Taste” from “The Social Network” score out of my head. Just a wonderful piece — even if it does have a small sample from Korn’s “Bitch We Got A Problem” in it.

A couple of things in the works for me as far as shows/concerts is concerned; a comedy show at the MGM Grand Theater with Bill Burr, Jim Norton, Dave Attell and Jim Breuer, Mushroomhead and HedPE are playing at the Palladium, and I got my tickets to see Katy Perry. All three should be great shows.

Speaking of it being Feb. 28; happy birthday to my nephew DM, and my friends GV and RM.

That’s about it, really.

Catch you on the flip side.
